Chocolate Toffee

Don't be fooled by how easy this recipe is.  It's delicious.  And perfect for a picnic.   

 

 

24 Saltine Crackers
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Large Nestle Chocolate Bar
or 4 or 5 small chocolate bars
Preheat oven to 400.
 

 

 

Line a jelly roll pan with tin foil.
Line up crackers side by side.
Bring butter and brown sugar to a boil in a saucepan.
Pour over crackers.
Bake in oven for 5-7 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Break candy bar into pieces and place it on top of crackers.
 

Return pan to oven for just 1 minute.

Using a knife, spread the candy like frosting.
Allow to harden.
Break into pieces and store in covered container.
